Operation Technician

We are looking for an

Job Purpose

Execute day-to-day operational tasks in accordance with stipulated instructions and procedures in order to operate the terminal proficiently in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the terminal system (including jetties) according to the company's work procedures, by efficiently carrying out the Daily Action Plan, conducting daily patrol rounds, updating the daily checklists and shift logs in order to keep track of the most recent procedures and track activities.
• Ensure compliance with all HSSEQ rules and regulations, including wearing the appropriate PPE, and assume suitable role(s) stipulated in the terminal's Emergency Response Plan (ERP), in order to ensure safety of the company, the employees and the individual. Also, with regard to further enhance safety, all HSSEQ related initiatives such as near-miss reporting, incident investigations, team challenge and HSSEQ campaigns, are participated in.
• Properly performs checks on the terminal systems (moving and non-moving), undertakes routine checks and house-keeping on a regular basis, supervises mooring crew activities, surveys contractors movements and work in the terminal, in order to guarantee safe procedures and prevent failures to the terminal system. If there is an incident, perform reporting in the terminal and raise maintenance request form.
• Independently perform: ship-shore conference, berthing and unberthing vessels, WDO, sampling, tank gauging, valve and pump checks, pump strainer cleaning, operating waste water system, supervise strainer cleaning, sampling/measuring product temperature with proper equipment
• As soon as API/AGT certified, also perform: gas test for hot work/confined space, H2S test, lubricating oil checks
• Undertake the role of auxiliary fire fighter during the event of an emergency and know the fire alarm system (CERT).
• Learn the role of API/AGT and assume the role of the loading master when required.
• Participate in all courses assigned by the company, effectively apply the knowledge and teach the acquired knowledge to other colleagues, in order to share and obtain knowledge.
• Complete all the task evaluations under the Operations, Training, HSSEQ and HR Department and OCIMF for Technicians.

Work Experience

• 1 year relevant working experience in terminal operations

• Proficient computer literacy
• Possess good attitude towards work
• Affinity towards safety
• Ability to resolve issues as a team
• Willingness to learn

Formal Education

• At least a Diploma (preferably in Engineering)
