Job Description
JOB INCENTIVES:
- Pay Rate $22.25

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Primarily responsible for activities to support operations in the formulating of ingredients, preparations of raw meat product(s), and inclusions for processing. Aids in the sanitation of the Ingredient storage rooms, trailers, and coolers. Complies with all Safety, Food Safety, SQF, Product Quality, GMP’s and USDA Requirements. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Under minimal supervision, verify daily inventories and place orders for any needed ingredients per production schedules/shop orders
- Pull and stage ingredients for upcoming or next day production runs
- When requested, deliver any requested or needed ingredients to the specified production line or area
- Pick up and return any remaining ingredients to the proper locations, when notified
- Only return clean, sealed, and wrapped ingredients to the proper storage areas
- When delivering or retrieving ingredients, verify & scan all pallets to the proper storage locations in order to maintain accurate transactions and inventory
- Perform or assist in performing needed cycle counts of storage areas to include dry storage, trailers, and coolers
- Monitor transactions for accuracy and reconcile prior to leaving each day
- Assist in the daily sanitation of all ingredient storage areas to include dry warehouses and coolers
- Properly unload and receive all incoming products and ingredients, per the receiving procedure, that deliver to assigned areas
- Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
- All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Intermediate math and computer skills
- Ability to operate/use pallet jack/forklift as needed
- Ability to comprehend and communicate in English required
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
- Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
- Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time on a hard surface.
- Ability to continuously work on a repetitive task with few breaks.
- Ability to work on a fast pace and high speed work environment.
- Ability to handle a repetitive movement of the waist, shoulder, wrist, or back.
- Ability to handle lifting and pushing frequently motions at the waist, shoulder, wrist, or back.
- Ability to handle constantly twisting and turning motions at the waist, shoulder, wrist, or back.
- Ability to handle reaching and pulling motions of the waist, shoulder, wrist, or back.
- Ability to tolerate physical exposure to cold, hot, damp or noisy environment.
- Ability to heavy lift up to 50lbs.
