GA-ASI’s Materials Test Lab has a position available for an experienced Materials and Process Supervisor to lead a group of technicians in the mechanical and physical testing of metallic and no-metallic materials.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
GA-ASI’s Materials Test Lab has a position available for an experienced Materials and Process Supervisor to lead a group of technicians in the mechanical and physical testing of metallic and no-metallic materials.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct support to the development and implementation of the following test methods and test equipment to support Quality Inspection of incoming raw materials, root cause investigations and new product development:
- FTIR
- DMA
- DSC
- TMA
- Resin Digestion
- Rheometer
- Microscopy
- Mechanical testing to ASTM and SACMA standards on Instron load frames
- The candidate must have established industry experience in the characterization of metallic and non-metallic materials using the above test methods.
- The candidate will be responsible for auditing existing process documentation, providing recommendations for process improvements, training technicians and engineers on the proper use and capability of the equipment, and overall maturation of GA-ASI’s capability and knowledge of these test methods.
- This person will manage a small team and be expected to manage performance, goal setting, and development of staff.
- The candidate will also be responsible for managing the interface of the lab to internal and external customers, managing the flow of data and documentation and directing the daily operations of the lab and technicians.
- Ensure compliance, reporting, and safety standards are maintained
- Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures
