We are currently looking for an OT Planning Specialist for our Bald Knob, AR office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The OT Planning Specialist serves as a critical bridge between technical engineering disciplines and project execution, ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of complex construction and infrastructure initiatives within the OT Cybersecurity organization. This role is responsible for integrating multidisciplinary project requirements including architectural, structural, automation, and cybersecurity considerations into cohesive and actionable plans that support safe, compliant, and efficient project outcomes.
The position plays a key role in advancing secure-by-design principles across all phases of the construction project lifecycle, embedding cybersecurity awareness into physical infrastructure development while maintaining alignment with industry standards, electrical codes, and area classifications. By leveraging strong technical acumen and project management expertise, the OT Planning Specialist enables informed decision-making, mitigates project risks, and drives consistency in execution across geographically dispersed projects.
Operating in dynamic and field-intensive environments, this role requires a high degree of independence, adaptability, and initiative. The OT Planning Specialist facilitates cross-functional collaboration, communicates effectively with stakeholders, and utilizes enterprise construction and digital tools to streamline workflows and enhance project visibility. Through technical insight and strategic coordination, this position ensures that infrastructure projects are delivered with precision, resilience, and alignment to evolving operational and cybersecurity requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of combined experience in pipeline construction, and/or communications infrastructure
Proven project management experience in construction or infrastructure environments
Strong understanding of the construction project lifecycle
Ability to read, interpret, and redline architectural and structural drawings
Working knowledge of measurement systems and automation technologies
Fundamental understanding of pipeline compression systems
Familiarity with electrical codes and hazardous area classifications
Working knowledge of communications systems and protocols
Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, copilot, and standard project management tools
Experience with enterprise construction/project management platforms
Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently in dynamic, fast-paced environments
High level of adaptability and initiative
Willingness and ability to travel up to 70%
Willingness and ability to learn cybersecurity fundamentals
Understanding of secure-by-design principles in infrastructure planning (baseline awareness)
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Direct experience supporting pipeline projects
Deeper knowledge of industrial automation systems (e.g., SCADA, PLCs)
Experience integrating OT and IT systems within infrastructure environments
Familiarity with OT cybersecurity concepts, standards, or frameworks
Experience using AI-enabled tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve planning efficiency
Advanced proficiency in Excel (modeling, tracking, data analysis) or reporting tools
Experience coordinating multi-discipline construction projects at scale
Prior role requiring heavy field presence (50–70% travel) with direct project oversight
Demonstrated success in cross-functional coordination across engineering, operations, and contractors
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in energy or industrial sectors
Experience applying risk-based planning approaches, including safety and cybersecurity considerations
Demonstrated ability to lead without authority and influence diverse stakeholders
Strong track record of continuous improvement and process optimization
Curiosity and initiative to expand into OT cybersecurity and secure infrastructure design
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or a related technical fieldOR
Equivalent combination of education and 10+ years of relevant experience in pipeline, construction, or infrastructure environments
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
PMP (Project Management Professional)
OSHA or equivalent safety certifications
Relevant engineering or technical certifications
OT/ICS cybersecurity certifications
