The IT Solution Architect plays an imperative role in the digital transformation of our Enterprise DATA portfolio across the Globe. They will dive deep into ambiguous and complex issues to better understand and grow customer engagement. They will deliver solutions based on analyzing, evaluating, and surfacing opportunities with your cross-disciplined team.
The successful candidate will participate and oversee the design process for new and enhanced analytics applications utilizing the Enterprise Data Hub and new technology stack in Baxter. They will continuously expand their knowledge by learning new systems, tools, and best practices to help build new tools to help our team automate and accelerate analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design process for new applications, including creating data flows, diagrams, models and prototypes, evaluating risks and defects, analyzing and creating specifications as needed
- Create technical documents and provide technical support and training as needed
- Work closely with systems analysts, software developers, data managers and other team members to ensure successful production of analytical solutions
- Offer viable solutions for various systems and architectures to resolve a variety of business requirements
- Ensuring a seamless integration of new and existing systems to eliminate potential problems and maintain data structure and integrity
- Participate in gathering information from customers or business leaders to meet solution needs
- Strategize and build releases for future upgrades and maintenance
- Drive a culture of agility, compliance, and speed in order to keep pace with business needs
- Work with subject matter experts to perform data profiling activities to understand source data
- Experience in leading complex large-scale analytical solution implementation
- Advanced skills in Cloud Solutions including AWS, S3, EC2, Python, Snowflake, SQL, ETL/ELT, Data Warehouse solutions and databases
- Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
- Proven ability to structure complex analysis and perform the analysis to drive insights

- Leadership skills to provide knowledge to development teams in areas of application software design, development, testing and implementation

- Conceptual thinking to ensure all parts of an application function together as intended
Education:
- Bachelor or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience with data and solution architecture
- Solid skills with AWS, S3, EC2, BitBucket, Python, Snowflake, PowerDesigner, Control M Scheduler
- Strong experience in data curation/aggregation/preparation for use in a Visualization tool (i.e. Cognos, Tableau)
Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Cloud Practitioner certification required, Solution Architect certification a plus
