
Commercial Attorney
Job Description
How you'll make an impact:
- Review and negotiate agreements in connection with commercial transactions
- Offer general legal advice to Company management and functional business groups
- Build and manage ongoing relationships with key legal stakeholders
- Partner with key business stakeholders to understand business context and priorities
- Mitigate major risks that threaten the delivery of work for contracts that are on customer forms or created internally
Qualifications:
- Law degree and a professional license / authorization to practice law with 10+ years of commercial contracting experience
- Previous experience with multinational industrial / manufacturing companies preferred but not required
- Previous in-house experience preferred but not required.
- Strong experience in commercial law including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with end customers
- Proficient in drafting various types of contracts in English
- The ability to identify, analyze, assess and communicate legal risks to enable internal clients make quality, risk-adjusted business decisions
- Experience in managing and supervising a team of lawyers and/or paralegals. This includes providing guidance, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering professional development within the legal team.
- Strong organizational skills - ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities and geographies concurrently and prioritize to meet required timelines
- Decisive decision-maker who understands global organizational impacts and has cultural awareness
- English Fluency (other languages a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Flexibility to adapt and lead through change as business requirements evolve
- Familiarity with multiple Ecolab Divisions preferred
