
Snr Supplier Quality Engineer, Manufacturing
Job Description
- Investigate supplier-related nonconforming material; leading containment, corrective action, and rework/return coordination with procurement and logistics teams.
- Management of the SCAR process, working closely with suppliers to ensure robust root cause and corrective actions have been implemented.
- Trend and analyze supplier defect and manufacturing capability data to identify systemic issues and risks, identifying opportunities and working with key stakeholders to implement improvements.
- Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing on component specification clarity.
- Partner with IQC team, procurement, R&D, operations, and manufacturing engineering to ensure component quality and supply continuity.
- Support new product development by assessing supplier readiness, component robustness and inspection strategy early in the design cycle.
- Monitoring Supplier Quality QMS metrics, conducting regular reviews as required with Suppliers and Internal stakeholders to address gaps.
- Communicate supplier performance, risks, and escalations to leadership in a clear, data-driven format.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant background
- 5+ years relevant experience (in supplier management etc.) required in Manufacturing industry (Medical Device Industries, Electronic, mechanic, aerospace industries)
- Auditor experience (ISO9001, ISO13485); experience in corrective and preventive analysis and actions
- Able to read engineering drawings, with good understanding of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with metrology, inspection strategy and measurement systems analysis (Gauge R&R).
- Experience with implementation and use Statistical Process Control and Process Capability analysis
- Ability to work independently with team player spirit, organized, and good time management with tight timescales
- Good communication and negotiation skills and learning agility
