
Senior Business Analyst, Insurance Accounting

- Engage directly with accounting stakeholders across all levels, including CFO’s, to elicit and validate insurance and operating accounting requirements.
- Translate complex business and accounting needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, and process flows.
- Support implementations and enhancements for ConceptOne, Sure MGA, and related insurance accounting, billing, and financial platforms.
- Partner closely with technical teams across the full SDLC: design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Analyze current-state workflows and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and operational excellence.
- Support data validation, reconciliation activities, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, training meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
- Ensure solutions align with accounting standards, regulatory needs, and client-specific business rules.
- Contribute to client documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.

- 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within accounting, insurance, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles; insurance accounting experience is a big plus.
- Hands-on experience with financial systems, insurance platforms, policy administration, or billing/payment systems.
- A proven track record of gathering, documenting, and communicating complex business and system requirements.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Comfort working directly with CFO’s and senior accounting leadership to define operational needs.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, Smartsheet, or similar workflow/documentation tools.
