Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job follow. Management may assign other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

  • Operation of compression presses
  • Performs TPM of packing cup cell to include oiling; greasing; entering, scraping and cleaning of booth.
  • Mixes urethane spray according to SOI
  • Operates tow motor, retrieves appropriate mold from racks and installs in press according to SOI
  • Cures, buffs, paints, post cures and inspects and packages parts according to SOI
  • Trouble shoots processes on the curing and spraying stages of job
  • Performs first and last piece inspections
  • Maintains all documentation needed for cell (TPM checklist, inspection documents, and daily chemical usage)
  • Bleeds lines, flushes with toluene, and performs preventive maintenance on spraying equipment
  • Monitors inventory levels of materials, completes requisitions to replenish inventory levels as necessary

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma/GED preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:

None

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Mechanical ability sufficient to troubleshoot equipment and processing problems

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to

  • Occasionally bend; stoop; and lift up to 50 lbs. (less than 2 hours/8 hour work day)
  • Frequently stand; walk; talk; hear; use hands and fingers to handle; reach with hands and arms (up to 6-hours/8 hours day)

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Safety shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection are required
  • Exposed to extreme surface temperatures of molds
  • The ambient temperature level can exceed 100 degrees in summer months
  • Exposed to chemicals, not to exceed PELs
  • Astute attention to quality of air in work environment

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The hourly rate for this role is currently $20.26 per hour. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
