Job Description
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals.
- Coordinate with subcontractors.
- Provide field layout to crews.
- Assisting management with field & office operations such as ordering of materials and quality control Receive and review change orders.
- Assist more senior civil engineers with entry level engineering tasks.
- Assist with performing onsite construction administration and construction observation services including reporting/monitoring contractor's compliance with contract documents.
- Evaluates submittals of shop drawings, material data and samples and takes appropriate action based upon contract specifications, submission of correspondence to the owner and quantity tracking.
- Reviews and processes as-built drawings to ensure that all changes during the course of construction are recorded. Completes project close out requirements in accordance with contract documents.
- Coordinates meeting agendas, prepares minutes and follows up on action items.
- Maintains effective and professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers and contractors. Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Construction/related degree with 2+ years of Heavy Civil construction experience Excellent computer skills and analytical ability
- Surveying capabilities Microsoft Office experience
- Understanding of industrial construction process
- Must have ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings Knowledge of contract procedures and principles
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
- Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex projects Education:
- Associate degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Relevant US experience can waive degree.
- Prefer - Experience in civil, infrastructure to include: USACE projects, pipeline, water treatment, concrete, marine, etc.). USACE CQM Certification
- OSHA 30 training AutoCAD experience
- Bluebeam Revu Experience P6 Experience
