Job Description

Team Global Express are looking for a Senior Advisor – Industrial & Employee Relations to join our People division and play a key role in shaping how we manage I&ER across the business.

Reporting to the General Manager - I&ER and Employment Counsel, you'll be the trusted advisor leaders turn to for practical, strategic guidance on industrial and employee relations matters from compliance and risk to enterprise bargaining and everything in between.

What you'll be doing

  • Advising leaders on I&ER matters, including compliance and interpretation across industrial relations regulatory platforms

  • Supporting the planning and negotiation of industrial instruments, including enterprise agreements, local agreements and contract carrier agreements

  • Identifying and analysing I&ER risks and opportunities, and facilitating outcomes to resolve issues

  • Representing TGE in dealings with union representatives and at Fair Work Commission conciliations and conferences

  • Auditing and maintaining compliance with industrial instruments, policies and statutory obligations

  • Designing and delivering I&ER training to build capability across the People Team and Operational Leaders

  • Staying ahead of the curve tracking legislative change, case law and industry trends through active networks and forums

What you'll bring

  • 4+ years' experience in I&ER or a related role, within an industrial and unionised environment

  • Advanced knowledge of Australian employment law and the industrial relations regulatory landscape

  • Proven advocacy experience before the Fair Work Commission (conciliations and conferences)

  • Demonstrated ability to support and influence enterprise agreement negotiations with employee organisations

  • Strong strategic thinking, translated into practical, on-the-ground outcomes

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands under pressure

  • Tertiary qualification in HR, law, industrial relations or equivalent experience

  • A current Australian driver's licence
