
Social Media Leader - UK
Job Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join the Marsh social media Center of Excellence as the UK Region Social Media leader. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Social Media Center of Excellence is an enterprise wide function working across all businesses of Marsh. This is a strategic leadership role where you will use your expertise in social media to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to partner with senior leaders across multiple UK business teams to set the strategic direction for social media across the region.
We will count on you to:
- Own and architect the regional social media strategy and the end-to-end social program framework that translates regional business priorities into multi-year, audience-centric initiatives
- Provide strategic oversight of how we activate priorities across varied social media platforms including LinkedIn, X, Facebook and YouTube.
- Lead the development of social media capability across the region by designing and delivering enablement programs, onboarding COE playbooks into the region and strategic decision frameworks for marketing teams.
- Provide ongoing strategic counsel, lead capability-building workshops and performance reviews, and establish clear governance and escalation pathways to confidently integrate social media into broader marketing strategies.
- Serve as a senior advocate for social media with UK based global leaders, regional business and marketing leadership by presenting strategic business cases, opportunity assessments and governance requirements.
- Play a key role in Marsh around-the-sun brand reputation management and crisis management process on social media.
- Introduce and establish the regional measurement and performance management framework for social media aligned to enterprise framework.
What you need to have:
- Proven in-depth experience and practical knowledge of primary B2b social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, Facebook and X.
- Strong knowledge and hands on experience working with social media publishing platforms and analysis tools
- Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns.
- Monitor and manage reputation risk in social media and be proactive in mitigating impact
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and an understanding of how to apply them in a manner that is fitting to business goals
- Proven ability to work both in a team setting, as well as independently drive programs
- Strong time management and organizational skills, and very high attention to detail
- You are a problem-solver, critical thinker, and creative, who is well versed in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
