Golang Developer @ CGI

Position Description:We are seeking a skilled Golang Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Go programming, microservices architecture, and cloud-based environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high-performance, reliable, and secure applications. You will also be part of high performing agile team that designs, builds and deploys scalable API's across multiple platforms.If you are looking for a new challenge, this role is for you.This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office (Hybrid)Your future duties and responsibilities:Backend DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain backend services using GolangBuild efficient, reusable, and reliable codeDevelop RESTful APIs and/or gRPC servicesSystem DesignParticipate in system architecture and design decisionsDevelop scalable and distributed systemsOptimize applications for maximum speed and scalabilityMicroservices & IntegrationBuild and maintain microservices-based architectureIntegrate third-party APIs and internal servicesWork with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)Database ManagementDesign and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL like PostgreSQL, MongoDB)Write efficient queries and ensure data integrityOptimize database performanceCloud & DevOps CollaborationDeploy applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerizationCollaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelinesPerformance OptimizationMonitor and improve application performanceIdentify bottlenecks and fix scalability issuesSecurity & Best PracticesImplement security and data protection measuresFollow coding standards, version control, and documentation practices
