
Financial Services Reporting and Reconciliation Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Analyst to join the Reporting & Reconciliation team. In this role, you will investigate financial activity, reconcile accounts, research discrepancies, and help ensure transactions are recorded accurately and resolved in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Reconcile accounts and research discrepancies, escalating issues as needed
- Prepare and maintain journal entries in accordance with established procedures
- Analyze data to support accurate and timely financial reporting
- Partner with internal operational teams to resolve transaction-related issues
- Ensure adherence to processes that protect financial integrity and customer outcomes

This position will be hired on a SuccessFlex basis.
The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location:
Grandview: 1000 Yard Street Grandview OH, 43215
Work schedule: 2 days in office, 3 days remote.
This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Collects, analyzes, verifies, researches and recommends solutions to processing and booking problems and reports through daily analysis.
Balances and reconciles various cases and suspense account to the general ledger.
Prepares and analyzes financial reports and statements.
Ensures accuracy of reporting and reconciliation for various businesses, products and functions.
Trains and cross-trains other team members on work functions and processing procedures.
Acts as technical source to answer questions from other departments.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Manager/Director.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in accounting, finance or related field.
Experience: Two years of experience in accounting, finance, tax reporting or customer service.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate both internally and externally. Ability to set work priorities that conform with established standards.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
