Overview

TRC is growing tremendously and seeking an Entry-Level Electromagnetic Modeling Analysis Engineer to join our Integrity Engineering Services team to assist in the HVAC/DC interference study to simulate variable power circuits impact underground and aboveground metallic structures.


Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be a new graduate from prestigious institute with following major applied physics, applied mathematics, geophysics. Data Science course or knowledge is a plus. The candidate should be familiar with Electromagnetic Field Modeling Analysis, and experience working with Geographic Information System (GIS) applications such as ArcGIS or QGIS during internship. This is an entry-level position, requiring some technical and communication skills, with a focus on pipeline integrity management team internal modeling analysis support.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physics electromagnetic field (time-domain and frequency-domain) modeling analysis
  • Analyze facility and pipeline GIS data using various software packages and tools
  • Assist with pipeline and facilities integrity program assessments and implementations
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and proposals development
  • Work seamlessly with internal teams and assist other groups as needed

 


Qualifications

Education - Qualifications:

  • New Graduate BS in applied mathematics, geophysics or applied physics; graduate degree is a plus
  • Internship with engineering firm for modeling analysis will be beneficial
  • Geographic Information System (GIS) Software (ArcGIS, QGIS) experience will be beneficial
  • Programs, including but not limited to C, C++ Matlab, R, Python and SQL
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering quality work with mentor’s guidance and supervision
  • This is a causal temporary position and will be transferred to permanent position after six months’ probation period

Salary Range

USD $30.00 - USD $36.00 /Hr.
