About the opportunity
Mercy Place Montrose is a modern 124 bed facility set at the base of the Dandenong Ranges.
The Lifestyle Team are proficient in ensuring that residents that live at Mercy Place Montrose retain their community connections and are engaged in a variety of group and individual activities that they enjoy and brings joy to their lives.
With the support of your team mates, you will
- Assist with the planning and implementation of both individual and group lifestyle programs that are resident focused, and support resident independence, creativity and dignity.
- Work with your team mates to combat boredom and isolation and create memories that will last a life time.
- Continue to promote the home environment and assist residents to maintain relationships with the broader community as well as the Montrose community.
- Work in accordance with the Mercy values of Compassion, Hospitality, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork
What you’ll bring
You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional person-centred care.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role with qualification in Lifestyle Cert III or IV desired but not essential.
- Working knowledge of caring for residents with dementia.
- Excellent clinical, computer, time management, organisational and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to ensuring that residents continue to live their best life.
- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) workers clearance OR Evidence of application and current Police Record Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
