- Lead UX strategy and execution for Salesforce-based case management modules
- Design scalable multi-tenant workflows supporting multiple agencies and mission areas
- Translate complex regulatory requirements into intuitive Salesforce Lightning experiences
- Design dynamic, conditional workflows driven by policy-as-code decision logic
- Collaborate with Salesforce developers to optimize:
- Lightning components
- Flow Builder automation
- OmniStudio experiences (if applicable)
- Custom objects, permissions, and role-based UX
- Develop and execute research plans aligned with agile sprints
- Lead usability testing with:
- Federal staff (SMEs, reviewers, managers)
- Executives and oversight users
- Public-facing stakeholders (where applicable)
- Ensure research artifacts are delivered iteratively in compliance with contract requirements
- Design:
- End-to-end service blueprints
- Workflow state diagrams
- Interaction patterns for API-driven systems
- Document-generation user experiences
- Ensure seamless UX across:
- Salesforce modules
- Cloud-native microservices
- External integrations (ESRI, PAY.GOV)
- Create UX patterns that support automation-first experiences
- Ensure designs meet:
- Section 508
- WCAG 2.1 AA
- USDA accessibility standards
- Design for performance thresholds:
- High-availability environments
- Partner with DevSecOps to ensure usability aligns with Zero Trust and federal security controls
- Serve as Design Lead
- Collaborate with:
- Agile Lead
- Technical Lead
- Backend and Salesforce engineers
- Participate in:
- Sprint planning
- Backlog refinement
- User story creation
- Sprint reviews and demos
What We Need From You (Required):
- 5+ years of UX/Product Design experience, including 3+ years designing Salesforce applications
- Demonstrated experience designing:
- Salesforce Lightning Experience
- Case management systems
- Workflow-driven enterprise platforms
- Strong understanding of:
- Salesforce data models (objects, relationships)
- Role-based access and permission structures
- Automation tools (Flow, Process Builder)
- Experience designing for:
- Regulatory or compliance-heavy environments
- Multi-tenant enterprise platforms
- API-integrated ecosystems
- Proven experience leading user research in agile environments
- Expertise in accessibility (Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Proficiency in Figma (required)
- Experience producing:
- Journey maps
- Service blueprints
- Complex state diagrams
- Design systems documentation
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain HSPD-12 clearance and PIV credentials
- Experience designing systems hosted on cloud.gov
- Experience integrating Salesforce with:
- Microservices architectures
- Policy engines
- AI/NLP components
- Experience supporting federal agencies
- Familiarity with:
- NEPA or environmental review processes
- Geospatial UX patterns
- Data dashboards for executive oversight
- Background in performance-optimized design
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., UX Designer, Platform App Builder)
Work Setup:
- Hybrid in Washington, DC. Occasional travel may be required.
- Ability to obtain a public trust
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT Management, or related field
