We are seeking a meticulous and inspiring Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping function at The St. Regis London. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms, public spaces, and associate areas, ensuring they reflect the highest standards of luxury and refinement. As a department head, you will manage daily operations, lead a team of dedicated professionals, and collaborate closely with other departments to deliver seamless service. This is a rare opportunity to shape the housekeeping culture of one of the most anticipated luxury hotel openings in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily housekeeping operation, including laundry and recreation areas where applicable
- Ensure all guest rooms, suites, and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of luxury and presentation
- Collaborate closely with Engineering to ensure maintenance issues are addressed promptly and efficiently
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and distribution of supplies, linens, and uniforms
- Implement, monitor, and continuously elevate inspection programmes to uphold brand standards
- Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and cost control to achieve financial targets
- Respond proactively to guest feedback, driving continuous service improvement and satisfaction
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a high performing housekeeping team
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and career development planning for team members
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, and brand policies
- Support onboarding and orientation programmes for new associates
- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, accountability, and attention to detail
Core Competence
- Proven experience in a senior housekeeping role within a luxury hotel environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire teams
- Exceptional organisational skills with a meticulous eye for detail
- A professional, approachable manner with outstanding communication skills
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, and housekeeping best practices
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning
- The ability to collaborate effectively across departments to deliver seamless guest experiences
- A proactive mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and service excellence
- High standards of personal presentation and professionalism
- The ability to maintain consistency under pressure in a fast paced, high profile environment
