- Analyzes and maintains financial documents such as IT general ledger, requisition transaction log and budget for the IT department; Reconciles all expense accounts.
- Prepares, submits and processes all budget transfer requests for funds within the department; Updates financial records; Assists with budget coordination and preparation, utilizing reconciled spreadsheets and fiscal analysis of accounts.
- Reviews and monitors funding for all allocations and projects to analyze trends; Prepares annual allocation spreadsheets; Monitors expenses; Prepares monthly reports.
- Reviews all IT contracts ensuring financially feasible; Provides recommendations and assists in the negotiating all IT contracts; Streamlines contract lifecycle management process by maintain best practices and providing a baseline for accountability expectations.
- Manages all IT grant efforts, reviews grant proposals, researches funding opportunities and plans/implements grant programs; Directs the activities, associated with grants and contracts; Analyzes changes in regulations and their effect on cost reimbursements and financial operations; Utilizes financial accounting systems to track grant expenditures.
- Manages staff responsible for overall budget oversight, request orders, accounts payable, inventory, product quotes to County departments, payroll, contracts, facility request, mobile device administration/financial support and general Information Technology administration.
- Plans, schedules and manages special projects for deployment ensuring that the final product provides the best return on investment (ROI0 feasible.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or IT related field preferred. (High School/GED and four years of relevant professional experience in addition to 5 years required experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree).
- 5 years of job related experience, including one year of management, supervisory or team lead experience.
- Proven proficiency with both verbal and written communication skills; Strong management skills.
- Strong math and/or accounting skills.
- Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills; Must be proficient in Excel. Organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple tasks a must.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, vendors, other employees, and elected officials.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $32.26 - $40.33 hourly based on qualifications
CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
