As a Senior Software Engineer II of PQI Digital, you will help identify new product ideas and operating models, and then design, develop and deliver them. Working together with our operating companies, you will also help foster and support an entrepreneurial culture that will push Veralto to launch new software and data products better, and faster.

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on QA Engineer with 5+ years of experience to lead end-to-end quality engineering initiatives. This role requires a strong individual contributor who can actively code, build automation frameworks, and coach and elevate a team of highly skilled QA engineers. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Python, automation, and AI-driven testing with proven leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a hands-on contributor in automation development and code reviews
• Define and implement QA strategy, standards, and best practices
• Build scalable automation frameworks using Python
• Develop and execute automated test suites (functional, regression, API, integration)
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Apply AI-driven testing approaches
• Drive defect management, RCA, and quality reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for quality delivery

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years QA experience with strong hands-on quality automation background
• Proven ability to lead and coach high-performing QA teams
• Strong Python or equivalent programming language programming expertise (mandatory)
• Experience with automation frameworks (Testrigor, PyTest, Robot, etc.)
• Strong API & backend testing experience
• CI/CD integration experience (AWS DevOps, Jenkins, etc.)
• Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC
• AI & Advanced Capabilities
• Practical experience in AI/ML-based testing approaches
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI code assistants to accelerate development and improve code quality
• Proven ability to design and build enterprise-grade automation frameworks enhanced with AI capabilities, including intelligent test generation, self-healing scripts, and optimization of test suites
• Exposure to intelligent automation, predictive analytics, self-healing frameworks
• Familiarity with LLM-based testing is a plus

AI & Development Mindset (Mandatory)

Proven ability to work hands-on with AI coding assistants

• Execute and validate AI-generated code & Test cases
• Critically review and refine AI suggestions
• Improve productivity using AI-driven development practices
• Comfort adopting modern engineering practices with AI augmentation

Good to Have

• Experience with AWS/ Azure Cloud
• Exposure to integration-heavy environments (REST APIs, microservices, middleware platforms)
• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Locust, k6)
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps-driven delivery models
• Exposure to test data management and data validation in large-scale systems
• Certification in QA/Testing (ISTQB, AI/ML certifications, or equivalent)
