Millat Industries, a family-owned manufacturing company celebrating 60 years of success, is seeking a Part Time Facilities Associate at our Kettering location for the Summer. This position will report to the Facilities Manager and assist with general labor, organization, cleaning, and light maintenance tasks in and around the Kettering, OH location. This role supports overall facility upkeep and organization through completion of assigned projects and daily tasks.
Your Responsibilities
Yard Cleanup
- Picking up sticks and debris
- General outdoor cleanup and upkeep
- Cutting back overgrown vegetation using hand tools
Grounds & Exterior Work
- Gravel cleanup and leveling
- Assisting with general exterior maintenance
- Pothole patching using cold asphalt and manual tamper only
Painting & Maintenance
- Painting doorways and doors
- Interior and exterior touch-up work
- Assisting with light maintenance projects using hand tools
Cleaning Services
- Deep cleaning bathrooms
- Sanitizing toilets and urinals
- Cleaning windows (interior)
- Daily trash pickup around exterior areas
- Cleaning trash cans inside and outside the building
Shop Organization & Efficiency
- Organizing storage areas
- Applying 5S principles (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) in approved areas
- Taping and labeling designated areas
- Assisting with general organization projects to improve efficiency
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- High school student or graduate preferred
- Must have ability and knowledge of basic hand tools (non-powered)
- Must have a good work ethic
- Must be dependable with a good attendance record
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor
- Exerts between 10 and 30 pounds on frequent basis
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors
- Always adheres to Company safety policies
- Employee may be required to follow other job related instructions and to perform other duties as requested.
Schedule – Approximately 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day, Monday–Friday. Occasional Saturdays.
