About the Role
As Brompton continues to scale its retail footprint across Asia Pacific, this role plays a pivotal position in shaping how the brand shows up in every store, every city, every touchpoint in APAC.
Based in Tokyo, the APAC Senior Retail Marketing Executive is responsible for setting the retail marketing vision and guidelines for both Brompton owned & licensed stores, and our dealer network across the region. This role is hands-on by nature, while also operating at a strategic level, developing retail frameworks, elevating customer experience, and ensuring brand consistency across physical and digital retail environments.
Japan will be the first and most critical market of focus, acting as the blueprint for wider APAC implementation. The role works closely with the retail store team, sales, marketing, operations, and the central team in London to translate brand & customer strategy into commercial, best-in-class retail execution. This is a senior individual contributor role with regional influence, high autonomy, and strong visibility to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
APAC Retail Marketing Strategy & Leadership
Define and own the APAC retail marketing framework covering owned & licensed stores and dealer partners
Establish clear guidelines for in-store and online retail touchpoints, including VM, POS, launches, storytelling, and service experience
Act as regional subject-matter expert for retail marketing, providing guidance and support to local teams and partners
Translate global brand strategy into regionally relevant retail execution
Japan Market Ownership (Blueprint Market)
Lead retail marketing delivery for Japan, setting the benchmark for APAC
Partner closely with the Japan sales and marketing teams to deliver integrated retail plans
Support owned & licensed stores and key dealers with local area marketing, social activation, and community engagement best practice
Customer Experience & Journey Excellence
Champion a connected, customer-first retail journey across physical and digital touchpoints
Ensure consistency between in-store experience, e-commerce, and local digital channels
Continuously assess and evolve retail standards to elevate brand perception and conversion
Visual Merchandising & POS Governance
Own end-to-end VM and POS strategy for APAC
Brief, develop, and deliver VM/POS assets in collaboration with central and APAC teams
Maintain and evolve retail guidelines; train and enable stores and partners
Oversee implementation quality across markets
Retail Campaigns, Launches & Activation
Lead retail execution for product launches, seasonal campaigns, and key brand moments
Coordinate cross-functional timelines with sales, marketing, and operations
Support store openings, refresh, pop-ups, and events
Commercial & Operational Management
Manage retail marketing budgets, suppliers, procurement, and cost efficiencies
Track performance, ROI, and effectiveness of retail initiatives
Deliver structured reporting to stakeholders
Stakeholder & Partner Management
Work closely with central brand, retail, and marketing teams
Partner with dealers and key accounts on joint marketing initiatives
Act as a trusted senior counterpart to internal and external stakeholders
Additional Duties

Support APAC market expansion and new store readiness as required

What you’ll bring
7+ years’ experience in retail marketing within a premium or lifestyle brand
Strong experience across both owned retail and wholesale/dealer environments
Proven ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on
Experience working in a regional or global role, ideally across APAC
Strong VM and POS project leadership experience
Proven track record managing complex, multi-market retail initiatives
Commercially minded with strong reporting and analytical capability
Experience managing budgets, suppliers, and agencies
Line management or senior project leadership experience preferred

9 Day Fortnight – This is a flexible working pattern which individuals can opt in for where an employee works their contractual hours across 9 days instead of 10 days. (i.e. 80 hours across 9 days instead of 10 days). This mean the individual would work an additional hour across Monday to Thursday (across the 2 week period) to gain their Friday off.
