Job Summary:
This position supports Enterprise Architecture and IT Software Asset Management by collecting and analyzing data on software applications and related software assets across the organization. The role focuses on gathering information about our application landscape, supporting lifecycle decisions, and coordinating administrative actions for software optimization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Analysis
Collect and maintain data on software applications and associated software assets across business units
Document application usage, costs, license utilization, and basic functionality information
Track software asset inventory, including licenses, subscriptions, and software dependencies
Support analysis of application redundancies and software asset optimization opportunities
Monitor software compliance and usage against purchased licenses
Software Asset Lifecycle Management
Assist with software asset lifecycle decisions (retain, retire, sustain, refresh)
Support license management activities including renewals, upgrades, and terminations
Coordinate software retirement and data migration during application sunset
Maintain software asset registers and ensure accurate inventory records
Assist with software asset management (SAM) activities
Administrative Support
Coordinate with Procurement team on software transitions, renewals, and software asset acquisitions
Maintain records and documentation for software asset lifecycle decisions
Track software spend and support budget planning activities
Stakeholder Coordination
Work with application owners and business stakeholders to gather software usage
Coordinate software asset reviews with IT, Finance, and business teams
Collect feedback and requirements for software asset optimization initiatives
Communicate software asset status updates and compliance reports to relevant teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Finance, or related field
7-10 years of experience in Software Asset Management, project coordination, or similar role
Familiarity with software licensing, software asset management concepts, and vendor management processes
Familiarity with software licensing models and compliance requirements
Understanding of software asset lifecycle management processes
Excellent communication abilities for working with stakeholders
knowledge around tools like M365, ServiceNow and Axonius should be considered a plus
