Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. (DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for those with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare.

What We're Looking For: 

Detroit Recovery Project (DRP) is currently seeking full-time Therapists to support our integrated behavioral health services. In this role, you will provide clinical expertise in managing complex casework, delivering intensive therapy, and developing individualized treatment plans that support recovery and overall well-being. The Therapist will work with individuals, groups, and families, ensuring that persons served receive high-quality, person-centered care across both mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment.
 
Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $70,000–$75,000 annually, based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and licensure level. This is a salaried-exempt position and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
 
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Conduct screenings, comprehensive assessments, and diagnoses for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy services
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborate with internal teams, families, and external partners
  • Coordinate referrals for additional services (e.g., medical, housing, recovery supports) and monitor client engagement
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR system
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to meet client and program needs
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health and/or substance use disorder setting (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is preferred
  • Limited or Full Licensure in the State of Michigan (e.g., LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, LLP, LP)
  • SUD credential preferred, including:
    • MCBAP Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), or
    • CAADC, CAADC-DP or
      • Willingness to obtain SUD credential within a designated timeframe
  • Experience working with co-occurring populations strongly preferred
  • Valid and unrestricted Michigan Driver’s License and current insurance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with EMR systems (e.g., NextGen) preferred

Pay Range: $70,000 - $75,000 per year
