Job Description:
- Assist senior consultants with infrastructure planning, technical assessments, environment reviews, and implementation support for Navis software solutions.
- Support the installation, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting of customer infrastructure environments, including application servers, databases, networking components, virtualization platforms, and monitoring tools.
- Help gather and document customer technical requirements, environment details, system diagrams, risks, dependencies, and implementation actions.
- Participate in technical workshops, discovery sessions, upgrade planning, readiness reviews, and customer meetings under the guidance of experienced consultants.
- Support hardware, network, operating system, database, and virtualization recommendations to help ensure customer environments are fit for purpose.
- Assist with disaster recovery, high availability, backup, redundancy, and monitoring recommendations based on established Navis practices and senior guidance.
- Provide practical troubleshooting support for infrastructure issues across development, test, staging, and production environments.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, software engineers, QA teams, customer IT teams, and senior infrastructure consultants to support successful project delivery.
- Contribute to consulting practice assets, including templates, checklists, implementation guides, technical notes, and reusable service delivery materials.
- Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation, including workshop notes, environment summaries, issue logs, action trackers, and support handover documents.
- Follow Navis implementation methodology, security practices, customer communication standards, and escalation procedures.
Key Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, technical support, implementation consulting, DevOps support, or related IT environments.
- Foundational understanding of operating systems, networking, databases, virtualization, application servers, monitoring, and enterprise application architecture.
- Basic experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
- Basic understanding of database technologies, backup concepts, redundancy, scaling, and performance considerations.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing concepts, ports, routing, latency, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Exposure to virtualization or cloud platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, or AWS.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues methodically and document findings clearly.
- Ability to research technical topics, learn new systems quickly, and apply guidance from senior team members.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to internal teams and customer stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, customer service orientation, and ability to prioritize tasks in a project-driven environment.
