Municipal and Trenchless Team Leader

Position Summary
The Team Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating the daily activities of team members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service.  This role oversees job execution from estimate through completion, ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and serves as a liaison between field staff, customers, and management. The Team Leader supports operational goals while fostering a positive, accountable team environment. 
 
Essential Duties
  • Lead, coach, and support team members on service, installation, and maintenance projects. 
  • Assign work, set priorities, and monitor progress to ensure timely and quality job completion. 
  • Conduct and oversee daily pre-shift huddles with team members.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on field support as needed. 
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development. 
  • Ensure all required certifications, licenses, and accreditations remain current. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing estimates, updates, and follow-up. 
  • Communicate job status, issues, and resolutions clearly and professionally. 
  • Address customer concerns and work to ensure satisfaction with services provided. 
  • Share customer feedback and service improvement opportunities with management. 
  • Ensure all work complies with all codes, safety regulations, and company standards. 
  • Assist with diagnosing complex issues and troubleshooting in the field. 
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and customer interactions. 
  • Monitor inventory of parts and tools needed for daily operations. 
  • Enforce health and safety standards and company policies
  • Participate in audits or performance reviews
Physical Demands
  •  This position is regularly required to have the ability to use hands to feel objects and use tools and controls. The position also needs to be able to raise and lower objects without mechanical aids and to extend hands and arms in any direction to reach, push or pull objects; to bend at the knees and at the waist; and to talk and hear. 
  • Position requires frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. 
  • The employee must have the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., frequently lift and/or move 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds with another individual. 
  • Position must be able to climb ladders and/or stairs. Must be able to safely mount and dismount equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone. 
Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within a skilled trades or field-based environment. 
  • Strong working knowledge of plumbing systems, applicable codes, and safety regulations. 
  • Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, team members, and leadership. 
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. 
  • Valid plumbing certifications and required licenses in good standing or relevant experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred. 
  • Intermediate PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposes.
