Engineering Recruitment Lead (Physical AI / Humanoid Robotics)
Job Description
Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 Alpha - our rapidly developed humanoid platform now running in real industrial pilots - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
About the Role
We're hiring an Engineering Recruitment Lead to join our Recruitment team based in London. This is not a traditional recruiting role. You will act as a strategic hiring leader embedded within engineering, responsible for delivering critical hires across robotics, AI, and hardware — at speed and quality.
You will own the end-to-end hiring strategy, build high-performance pipelines in niche domains, and continuously optimize how we attract and close top-tier talent in one of the most competitive markets globally.
What You'll Do
Lead end-to-end recruitment for highly specialized roles across:
Humanoid robotics (controls, perception, deep learning, reinforcement learning and others)
Embedded systems, electronics, and mechanical engineering
AI/ML, autonomy, and robotics software
Ensure roles are closed on time with strong candidate quality and high acceptance rates
Partner closely with hiring managers to define requirements, calibrate profiles, and drive decisions
Work on-site daily with engineering teams to deeply understand technical needs and culture
Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, ensuring alignment on expectations and hiring bar
Continuously improve interview processes, technical assessments, and decision-making frameworks
Develop proactive sourcing strategies for hard-to-find, niche talent in physical AI and robotics
Leverage your existing network across humanoid robotics / robotics ecosystem
Build and maintain long-term relationships with passive candidates and industry experts
Operate as a modern recruiter using AI tools, automation, and agents to increase efficiency and reach
Utilize ATS systems and LinkedIn Recruiter as core tools, while going beyond them with creative sourcing approaches
Experiment with new tools, workflows, and data-driven methods to improve hiring outcomes
Own and track hiring funnel metrics (time-to-hire, conversion rates, pipeline quality)
Identify bottlenecks in the hiring process and implement solutions quickly
Provide regular, data-backed updates to leadership and hiring teams
Conduct 1:1s with senior recruiters, mentoring and elevating hiring capabilities across the team
Help define and scale best practices for technical recruiting in a deep-tech environment
Contribute to building a high-performance talent function aligned with company growth
What We're Looking For
Proven experience leading technical recruiting for complex engineering roles (hardware + software)
Deep expertise and network within:
Humanoid robotics / robotics / physical AI ecosystem
Strong understanding of engineering domains:
Robotics systems, embedded systems, AI/ML, autonomy
Track record of closing high-impact roles in competitive markets
Experience working closely with engineering stakeholders in fast-paced environments
Hands-on experience with:
ATS platforms (e.g. Lever, Greenhouse, Ashby)
LinkedIn Recruiter and advanced sourcing techniques
Strong adoption of AI tools, automation, and innovative sourcing strategies
Data-driven mindset with ability to diagnose pipeline issues and optimize processes
What We Offer
Meaningful time off to rest and recharge: 23 days of annual leave (accrued), separate sick leave, and paid bank holidays and company holidays.
Fully funded private healthcare for UK employees, with broad provider access, virtual and in‑person care, and strong mental health and serious illness support.
Pension scheme with a total 8% contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings.
Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in‑office.
Collaboration with top‑tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics.
Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives.
