Collections Specialist

Description
We’re looking for a Collections Specialist who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to take ownership of our accounts receivable process. In this role, you'll balance professionalism with persistence to ensure timely collections while supporting our customer-first culture. You’ll work closely with both internal teams and clients to resolve billing issues and help us scale sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts and proactively follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Reach out to customers via phone, email, and other channels to secure payments.
- Partner with the sales, support, and billing teams to quickly resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of communication and payment activity in our systems.
- Escalate complex issues while maintaining client relationships.
- Analyze aging reports and contribute to forecasting and reporting.
- Help optimize collection workflows as we grow.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or billing—ideally in a B2B or SaaS/IT environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, tech-driven company.
- Experience with accounting and CRM systems.
- Basic understanding of finance principles and standard collection practices
