The successful candidate will assist with technical work while supporting delivery within cost, schedule, and quality requirements. They will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop technical knowledge, contribute to problem solving, and support engineering decisions across various projects.Nationality Requirements

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the development of engineering solutions to technical problems while working within time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Assists with technical proposal and bid activities as required.
- Supports the definition and management of system and subsystem requirements.
- Contributes to trade studies and evaluations of potential design solutions.
- Assists with system design activities, including functional and non-functional analysis.
- Supports Integration, Verification, and Validation (IV&V) activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contributes to assigned work packages and supports project delivery activities.
- Maintains awareness of emerging technologies, engineering tools, safety requirements, environmental protection, and compliance standards.
- Participates in technical/design reviews and supports risk management activities.
- Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and supports the organization’s digital transformation efforts.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn, develop technical expertise, and challenge existing approaches constructively.
- Works collaboratively with senior engineers and team members to support project and business objectives.
Role Requirements
- Basic understanding of Systems Engineering lifecycle processes and methodologies; defense sector experience is considered an asset.
- Exposure to project lifecycle activities from requirements development through testing and support is desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Supports project reporting and performance tracking activities.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Qualifications/Skills
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 1–3 years of experience in Systems Engineering or a related engineering environment.
Desirable
- Exposure to complex electronic systems or defense-related projects.
- Familiarity with systems engineering tools and methodologies.
- Awareness of Military Standards (MIL-STD), EMI/EMC, or environmental qualification processes is considered an asset.
- Interest or exposure in areas such as sonar systems, safety systems, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), or cyber security is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with standard office tools and familiarity with engineering tools such as DOORS, UML tools, ERP systems, or configuration management tools is desirable.
