Position Highlights:
This position requires medical front desk experience and will float throughout our medical group offices on a per diem basis to fill-in for office as needed.
Requires commitment to be scheduled several shifts throughout the week, which may be partial shifts and the ability to attend a full week of mandatory orientation & training upon hire.
Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Position Summary:
Patient Care Coordinator has many roles in their position, which includes ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the day while multitasking and taking initiative. Responsible for patient registration prior to or on the first office visit to verify demographic and financial information, while working within HCMG/hospital policies and procedures.
What you will do:
Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs.
Confirms with patient any changes in address, phone number or insurance information.
Verifies validity and coverage of insurance.
Obtains HMO/PPO authorizations, if applicable.
Enters all changes in the IDX System and documents any information regarding the account or patient information on the comment screen/sticky notes.
What you will need:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: Experience in medical office setting and knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes and health care insurance required.
Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, staff and visitors is necessary.
Good computer skills, EPIC experience preferred.
Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures. Working Conditions:
Requires long periods of sitting at the front desk answering phones and checking in patients.
