
Internship – RFID and OT Infrastructure (partially mandatory) - REF97268L
Job Description
OT Cybersecurity & Infrastructure at our location Hannover-Stöcken is in charge of ensuring high performing & Cybersecure OT Infrastructure with strong focus on long term readiness and planning to all production technology areas in the Tire Manufacturing plants globally. OT Infrastructure also focused on 100% material input validation initiative from central quality with RFIDs (Radio Frequency Identification).
Within this exciting work environment in Hanover-Stöcken, we are looking for a student (m/f/diverse) for a full-time internship (37,5 working hours per week) lasting 6 months starting in August 2026. A combination of mandatory and voluntary internship is possible. The mandatory part must cover at least 12 weeks.
Tasks include:
- Improving existing OPC UA Gateway application for standalone connection of RFID readers
- Training our Tire plants for the pilot implementation of RFID solutions
- Setting up an RFID test lab with needed hardware and software for different vendors
- Developing and improving PowerBI dashboard to represent department KPIs & follow-up tasks
- Supporting the maintenance and continious improvement of our knowledge base for RFID solutions & OT infrastructure topics
- Enrolled student (m/f/diverse) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic or a comparable field
- Ideally having a specialization in Industrial Automation
- Basic programming skills in C# and web technology (HTML, CSS)
- Basic knowledge on RFIDs
- Initial experiences working with OPC UA Server and Client
- Good command in generating Power BI reports
- Competent handling of common MS Office-tools
- Fluent English and basic German language skills (written and spoken)
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Structured and creative thinking
