Business Systems Analyst
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Workday Business Systems Analyst to lead the support, optimization, and maintenance of our Workday HCM platform. In this key role, you will provide critical day-to-day support of all Workday HCM modules and drive initiatives that enhance system functionality, scalability, and user experience. The ideal candidate possesses deep functional expertise in Workday HCM with preference for Benefits and Absence modules. Working knowledge of AI technologies, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of how to align system capabilities with evolving business goals are keys to success.
What you’ll do…
Workday Development – Enhancements + Projects:
- Design and implement scalable Workday enhancements and functionality with focus in the Benefits and Absence modules that support evolving HR strategies and organizational growth.
- Drive end-to-end process improvements by optimizing business processes, workflows, and functional setup through automation and AI capabilities.
- Lead the review, impact analysis, and testing of Workday’s semi-annual releases.
- Lead Workday-related projects including new build, optimization of existing functionality, and operational enhancements from discovery to deployment.
Day to Day Support – System Administration:
- Perform day-to-day system administration and provide resolution to system bugs / defects according to support SLAs for all Workday HCM modules and on occasions related integrations.
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex issues impacting business users or downstream systems such as ADP - Payroll and Greenhouse.
Governance, Compliance and Documentation:
- Establish governance standards and best practices to ensure configuration integrity, data accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Champion system adoption by developing training materials, conducting workshops, and coaching super users.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, data and process workflows and monitoring and notifications.
Who you are?
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related fields (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5-7 years of HRIS experience with 3+ hands-on experience developing and deploying Workday functionality (preference for Benefits, Absence, Security and Reporting).
- Functional Breadth: Deep knowledge of Workday – Benefits, Absence with working experience in all other modules (Core HCM, Business Processes, Security, Compensation, and Talent modules).
- Familiarity with Workday integrations and working knowledge of AI technologies
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and solving business and system issues.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence across business and technical teams.
- Communication: Skilled in translating technical configurations into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Certifications: Current or previous Workday HCM Certification or relevant Workday Pro accreditation preferred
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Workday implementations or optimizations.
- Familiarity with emerging Workday tools such as Prism Analytics, Adaptive Planning, Illuminate or Workday Extend.
- Understanding of SOX, GDPR, or other compliance/regulatory impacts on HCM systems.
