Agropur is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join is team in Plessisville.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor manages their team and ensures that performance objectives are met (Health & Safety, Quality, Cost, Deadlines, Engagement, Environment) within a culture of collaboration. They contribute to the improvement and maintenance of preventive and predictive maintenance best practices. They work closely with the Workshop Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Planner, the Inventory Coordinator, the Reliability Specialist, and coordinators from other departments.

• Salary range 005: $84,600 to $105,800 (Base salary will be determined according to academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)
Your role in achieving results:
More specifically, the responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor include:
• Managing maintenance employees with a focus on engagement, accountability, and skill development.
• Ensuring the application of the collective agreement while promoting a business-partner approach with all on-site collaborators.
• Coordinating and supervising work through work orders in the CMMS, and issuing required work permits.
• Performing follow-ups and verifications to ensure proper functioning of equipment under their responsibility, and coordinating the preventive maintenance program to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Overseeing the purchase of parts for the mentioned equipment and selecting subcontractors (via bidding) for work on equipment and buildings outside the plant’s scope.
• Actively participating in new plant development projects related to buildings and services; evaluating project costs and ensuring follow-up with suppliers, subcontractors, and associated labor.
• Participating in the prioritization of work in collaboration with various plant stakeholders.
• Contributing to failure analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and leading problem-solving efforts with work teams.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety, environmental, and sanitation programs, and supporting the application of the quality plan (ISO, HACCP, SQF).
• Leading performance meetings with their team.
• Actively participating in various plant committees and project deployments.
• Approving and monitoring worked hours, vacation requests, and schedules.
What we are looking for to deliver these results:
• University, college, or vocational diploma in engineering, maintenance, or a relevant field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience supervising a maintenance team in a unionized environment.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS programs (Guide TI).
