At LCMC Health, we're committed to delivering Healthcare with Heart—and that means continually finding better ways to care for our patients, support our teams, and strengthen our communities.

As an RN Senior Performance Improvement Specialist, you'll serve as a strategic partner, trusted advisor, and improvement expert who helps drive meaningful change across our health system. You'll collaborate with physicians, leaders, and frontline teams to solve complex challenges, improve quality outcomes, and create lasting improvements that positively impact patient care.

Using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and evidence-based practices, you'll lead high-impact initiatives tied to organizational priorities, quality goals, patient safety, and operational excellence. Whether you're facilitating improvement projects, mentoring team members, or helping leaders turn data into action, your work will directly influence the future of healthcare at LCMC Health.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead enterprise-wide quality, performance, and process improvement initiatives that support LCMC Health's strategic goals
  • Partner with physicians, operational leaders, and clinical teams to identify opportunities for improvement and prioritize high-impact projects
  • Analyze clinical and operational data to uncover trends, identify gaps, and drive informed decision-making
  • Facilitate Lean Six Sigma projects, Kaizen events, root cause analyses, and structured problem-solving activities
  • Support key organizational initiatives, including Managed Care Incentive Payment (MCIP) performance, strategic plan goals, and service line quality outcomes
  • Develop sustainable solutions that improve patient outcomes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen operational performance
  • Coordinate quality measure data collection, validation, reporting, and compliance activities
  • Educate staff and providers on evidence-based practices that improve quality and patient outcomes
  • Mentor Performance Improvement Specialists and project teams in continuous improvement methodologies
  • Coach interdisciplinary teams through project implementation, change management, and sustainment efforts
  • Share best practices across the health system to promote enterprise-wide learning and standardization
  • Present project findings, recommendations, and performance updates to leadership and key stakeholders

What You'll Bring

  • Passion for improving healthcare quality, patient safety, and operational excellence
  • Strong project leadership skills with the ability to influence teams and drive results without direct authority
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary initiatives and facilitating change across complex healthcare environments
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and measurable outcomes
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence working collaboratively with physicians, executives, and frontline staff
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Commitment to continuous learning, coaching, and developing others

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
  • MSN or other healthcare-related master's degree preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years leading projects or multidisciplinary teams required
  • Previous leadership experience as a Charge Nurse, Program Manager, or similar role preferred
  • Experience in quality improvement, performance improvement, healthcare operations, or project management strongly preferred

Certifications

  • Current Louisiana RN license required
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required within 12 months of hire
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Black Belt preferred

Why You'll Love This Role

This role offers the opportunity to make an impact far beyond a single department or facility. You'll help shape system-wide improvements, influence strategic priorities, and drive initiatives that improve care for thousands of patients across LCMC Health. If you're energized by solving problems, building partnerships, and creating meaningful change, you'll find purpose—and plenty of opportunity—here.
