Position Summary:
Reports to the center director. Directly supervises the programs director and community life director. Acts on behalf of the center director in his/her absence. Assists the center director in the planning and management of center operations and administrative affairs in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Functions:
- Under direction of center director, assist in providing overall direction of center activities through effective planning, staff training, scheduling and evaluation in concert with the center director.
- Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance and implement organizational and personnel changes as approved by the center director.
- Provide oversight of the MTC Student App ensuring relevant staff members are trained and inputting campus information into the app including but not limited to recreation/professional development activities, student mail, campus dining options, announcements, student & staff awards, Student Government elections, campus map, and any other available features in the app.
- Ensure compliance with established budgets, purchase limitations, travel restrictions and general contract limitations; maintain stability and consistency with DOL and MTC goals and objectives.
- Assist with the establishment of center plans, programs, goals and objectives to ensure performance outcomes through management controls.
- Assist with control of center reports, policies, procedures, tarts and other claims, staff travel, student terminations, disclosure of information, equipment and facilities.
- Oversee center outcome measurement system (OMS) meetings to ensure weekly student projections.
- Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
- Monitor labor budget and ensure staffing within budgetary limits.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment.
- It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and four years related experience, three of which must be in a managerial capacity.
- Experience working with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency also required.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.
