Job Description
Koniag Data Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Full Time NREMT to provide in support of KDS and our government customer in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.Position Overview:Koniag Data Solutions is seeking a Fulltime Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician in support of occupational and ambulatory health care services for US Customs and Border Protection Advanced Training Center located in Harpers Ferry, WV 25425.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) as needed
Triage support
Collaborate with clinical staff
Administer first aid for minor injuries or illnesses
Assist on-site RN with basic medical procedures and treatments
Prepare patients for assessments or procedures
Maintain treatment areas
Document first aid treatment in clinical note
Evaluate individuals and provide appropriate medical treatment for minor illness or injuries
Assess the level of consciousness of a patient
Monitoring vital signs
Responsible for maintaining EMT license/certification according to the laws of West Virginia
Inspect and maintain emergency equipment to ensure proper operating condition.
Provide Heartsaver BLS and First Aid Training
May be required to drive agency vehicle on campus (non-patient transport)
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications include:
High School Graduate
Must have successfully completed NREMT and be licensed in West Virginia
WV EMT License
Minimum 1 -3years EMT experience
U.S. citizenship is required for all contractors in accordance with DHS requirements
Current Healthcare Provider BLS/AED Certification through the American Heart Association
Must be willing to become an AHA Instructor for BLS and First Aid and AED within 6 months of being hired
Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation conducted by DHS CBP
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Must have physical ability to lift and carry out the physical demands of the job
