Job Description

PAK’nSAVE Rangiora is on the lookout for someone who is interested in upskilling to become a qualified butcher. We pride ourselves on consistently achieving high success rates across our training and apprenticeship programs. You’ll train alongside a skilled, supportive team of butchers who are dedicated to helping you successfully complete your butcher apprenticeship.

 

About the role:

 

This is a permanent, full-time 40-hour position.

 

Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 5:00 – 15:30 = 40 Hours. 

 

We’re committed to mentoring and supporting the successful applicant through a 3-year apprenticeship, completing the New Zealand Certificate in Butchery, Level 4.

As part of the Butchery team, you’ll support the day-to-day operations of the department, helping deliver a wide range of fresh, high-quality products. This role offers great opportunities for training, development, and career growth within a supportive team environment.

 

While working on the job throughout the 3-year apprentice program you will:

 

  • Learn how to slice, mince and bone products.
  • Learn how to tray, pack, and present products for sale.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Food Safety and Health & Safety

 

Important Information:

 

PAK'nSAVE Rangiora has an active drug and alcohol policy. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug test.

 

Applicants must have New Zealand Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a valid Work Permit.
