Job Description

The Purchasing Assistant is in charge of starting the search for suppliers, analyzing offers, carrying out the administrative purchase process and following up until the invoice is paid to the supplier.

General Responsibilities
• Reviews purchase requests, develops supply sources, prepares bid specifications and bid requests.
• Reviews departmental purchase requisitions to verify completeness and accuracy of information.
• Identifies proper and reliable sources to fulfill  internal customer needs described by Purchasing requisitions on time.
• Assists the sourcing buyer on activities related to cost reduction.
• Assists the buyer by following the global strategy.
• Assists the buyer in reviewing commercial contracts.
• Helps with any other task assigned by supervisor.                                                                                                                                                                           
• Follows-up with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
• Assists members of the procurement team carry out their role/duties with various administrative tasks.


Experience / Qualifications
• Relevant work experience or knowledge of the role
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Gross Annual Salary Range:

11,371.00 EUR - 15,635.40 EUR

The salary range is published in line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and relevant country legislation.


Starting Salary

The starting salary offered will be based on objective, gender-neutral criteria , (e.g internal equivalency, relevant skills, experience, qualifications etc.). Applicants will not be asked for salary history.
