General Laborer - Summer Seasonal
Job Description
The Township of Pine is seeking energetic Seasonal Laborers to support the Public Works Department with general maintenance, groundskeeping, and improvement projects at Pine Community Park, Municipal Building Complex, and other Township facilities.
Pay: $16 per hour
Hours: Full-Time Seasonal
Schedule Options: Tuesday through Saturday OR Sunday through Thursday
Shift Options: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm OR 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Anticipated Start: Mid-May or June 2026
Duration: Up To 16 Weeks; Summer Seasonal; Ends Mid-August
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, mulching, and general grounds maintenance
- Operate riding mowers, utility vehicles (Gators), and landscape equipment
- Remove trash, debris, and fallen branches from parks and roadways
- Assist with roadway signage installation and facility cleaning
- Prepare and organize trucks, tools, and equipment for projects
- Maintain Township vehicles and equipment
- Report damage, safety concerns, or equipment issues
- Provide professional, respectful service to staff and the public
- Follow safety procedures and participate in required training
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Successful completion of required background clearances
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Prior lawn care or general labor experience preferred
- Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License with acceptable driving record, preferred
Other:
- Familiarity with lawn and landscape equipment
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions
