The Pre-Award Analyst Senior is responsible for examining proposals to ensure adherence to sponsor guidelines, organization policy, and applicable local, state, and federal laws. Handles proposal submission and manages other proposal submission aspects such as checking whether organizational commitments and budgets are accurate, obtaining the proper internal evaluations and permissions for regulatory compliance, and documenting collaboration agreements.

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Communicates with sponsors' representatives during the pre-award phase.
  • Verifies that applications with awards have complete files and obtains any missing data from the respective handlers.
  • Follows up with investigators to find out how applications are progressing with regard to evaluation and financing.
  • Coordinates budget development evaluations as necessary.
  • Keeps up to date on sponsor terms and conditions for applying and managing grant awards. Continues to build and maintain a good working understanding of federal rules and regulations that govern research funds.
  • Helps in the planning and execution of outreach initiatives like workshops, seminars, and pre-award training programs.


EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: 5 years of related experience required.


EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
