Job Description
The Construction Foreman is accountable for coordinating and supervising daily construction activities across assigned scopes of work. This role ensures work is organized, crews are directed effectively, and quality and safety standards are maintained as projects move through various construction phases. The Foreman contributes deep practical construction expertise and helps translate site plans into disciplined daily execution.

Core Accountabilities
- Daily Construction Coordination – Accountable for organizing and directing daily work activities across assigned crews to support project schedules.
- Crew Leadership & Work Direction – Accountable for guiding labour, assigning tasks, and ensuring crews understand sequencing and expectations.
- Inspection & Compliance Coordination – Accountable for coordinating required inspections and ensuring work complies with safety requirements.
- Phase-Specific Execution – Accountable for supporting execution across multiple construction phases including excavation, structural concrete, envelope, and finishing work as assigned.
- Structural & Concrete Oversight – Accountable for coordinating formwork inspections, reviewing mix designs, overseeing concrete testing, and ensuring structural work meets specifications.
- Site Operations Support – Accountable for maintaining organized site conditions, coordinating deliveries and equipment needs, and supporting efficient workflow across teams.
Capabilities & Professional Expectations
- Craft & Construction Expertise – Strong working knowledge of residential concrete construction processes and sequencing across multiple phases of work.
- Practical Site Leadership – Demonstrates the ability to guide crews and trades while maintaining disciplined work execution.
- Operational Awareness – Able to identify construction risks and resolve site coordination challenges quickly.
- Safety Commitment – Reinforces safe work practices and supports site safety expectations consistently.
- Digital Literacy – Demonstrates openness to using digital site management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) to support coordination and reporting.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of residential concrete construction experience
- Demonstrated experience leading crews and coordinating field activities
- Strong understanding of excavation, structural concrete, and site sequencing
- Familiarity with construction software tools such as Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
