As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Temenos’ global corporate cloud infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across private, public, and hybrid environments while driving the adoption of modern cloud technologies and engineering practices.
You will collaborate closely with security, operations, and development teams to ensure that cloud environments effectively and securely support business and product goals.
This role is focused on executing and operating cloud infrastructure at scale, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and aligned with business requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cloud Infrastructure
You will implement, manage, and uphold cloud management policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
You will design, operate, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.
You will lead and execute migration projects from onpremises infrastructure to cloud platforms.
You will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.
Automation & Engineering
You will automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processes using Infrastructure as Code while applying software engineering best practices.
You will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment across environments.
You will collaborate with application and platform teams to implement cloudnative applications and services.
Security, Operations & Mentorship
You will conduct regular security reviews and compliance checks in accordance with corporate policies and standards.
You will manage and optimize cloud resource utilization and cloud spend across all environments.
You will support incident response processes, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and remediation of cloudrelated issues.
You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud and engineering practices.
SKILLS
You should have at least 5 years of proven experience as a Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role within largescale enterprise environments.
You should have strong software engineering and design expertise, particularly related to Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
You should have proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Go, or C#.
You should have handson experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Preferred Qualifications
You should have handson experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or Runners, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
You should have deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
You should have experience in cloud cost management, performance optimization, and operational automation.
You should have a solid understanding of networking, security, and monitoring concepts in cloud environments.
You should have familiarity with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS service models and modern application architectures.
You should have excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills combined with a proactive, solutiondriven mindset.
You should have relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator, which are considered a plus.
