Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans efficiently and safely
- Prepare and screen patients, including for MRI safety
- Position patients and select appropriate imaging parameters
- Administer contrast as needed per regulations
- Monitor patients throughout procedures
- Review images for quality and completeness
- Accurately document and archive patient and scan data
- Maintain workflow efficiency and equipment readiness
- Deliver excellent patient care and clear communication
- Follow all safety, compliance, and quality standards
- Participate in training, QA, and continuing education
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
- ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI
- Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
- Active state licensure, where applicable
- CPR Certification is required
Prior Experience:
- 0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required
- 2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred
Special Qualifications:
- IV skills required
- Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards
- Demonstrate adequate knowledge of anatomy
- Skill in operation of MRI equipment
- Customer service background and focus
