We are seeking a strategic, hands-on, and business-oriented Enterprise Business Architect to shape and evolve Temenos’ enterprise architecture with a strong focus on end-to-end business processes, enterprise applications, and core corporate platforms. The role ensures that business capabilities, processes, and enterprise systems are coherently designed, transparently documented, and aligned with Temenos’ business strategy and transformation agenda.

The role goes beyond classic technical architecture. It emphasizes enterprise business process ownership, operating models, and standard enterprise platforms such as Oracle Fusion, Workday, Salesforce, and ServiceNow, complemented by pragmatic execution, automation, and AI-enabled ways of working.

At the beginning this position reports directly to the CIO and plays a central role in building a new Corporate Enterprise Architecture team, which will expand over the coming years.

OPPORTUNITIES

Building a New Enterprise Business Architecture Capability

  • Establish and grow Temenos’ Corporate Enterprise Business Architecture function, initially with a strong hands-on focus.
  • Lay the foundation for scalable enterprise architecture practices leveraging automation and AI (e.g., structured inventories, AI-assisted impact analysis, intelligent documentation).
  • Define the future vision, scope, and operating model of enterprise business architecture at Temenos.

Enterprise & Business Process Architecture

  • Define and evolve the enterprise architecture framework, covering Business Architecture and Application Architecture as core domains.
  • Create and maintain business capability maps, process landscapes, value streams, and application-to-process mappings (e.g., Hire-to-Retire, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report).
  • Ensure alignment between Temenos business strategies, operating models, business processes, and enterprise systems.

Enterprise Applications & Platforms

  • Act as architectural authority for Temenos’ core enterprise platforms:
    • Oracle Fusion (Finance, Procurement, SCM)
    • Workday (HR)
    • Salesforce (Sales, Service, Marketing)
    • ServiceNow (ITSM, ITOM, HR workflows)
  • Drive consistency in process design, integration patterns, data ownership, and end-to-end process orchestration.
  • Guide SaaS selection and evolution with a focus on standardization, simplification, and reduction of complexity.

Hands-on Architecture & Transparency

  • Personally build and maintain key architecture artefacts, including:
    • A transparent enterprise application inventory (pragmatically starting with Excel or lightweight tools).
    • Clear mappings between business processes, applications, and data.
  • Apply a “pragmatic first, tool later” approach focused on value, speed, and transparency.

Governance & Decision Support

  • Establish and co-lead an Enterprise / Business Architecture decision forum.
  • Apply TOGAF pragmatically as the reference framework, focusing on outcomes rather than documentation.
  • Support CIO- and ELT-level decision-making with clear architectural options, trade-offs, and impact views.

FIRST 12–18 MONTHS: OUTCOME EXPECTATIONS

Within the first 12–18 months, the role is expected to deliver tangible results, including:

Foundation & Transparency

  • A complete and trusted enterprise application inventory covering Temenos’ corporate application landscape.
  • Clear business capability and process maps aligned to Temenos’ operating model.
  • Transparency on process-to-application dependencies for priority business domains.

Architecture & Governance

  • A pragmatically applied Business & Application Architecture framework (TOGAF-based).
  • Clear architecture principles and guardrails actively used in decision-making.
  • An operational architecture decision forum supporting major initiatives and investments.

Transformation Enablement

  • Architectural support for key Temenos initiatives (ERP, HR, CRM, workflow automation).
  • Reduced complexity and better alignment through process standardization across core platforms.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years in enterprise, business, or solution architecture roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise business processes and corporate application landscapes.
  • Proven exposure to Oracle Fusion, Workday, Salesforce, and/or ServiceNow.
  • Solid, pragmatic knowledge of TOGAF.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work directly with senior leadership.
  • A builder mindset: pragmatic, outcome-driven, and comfortable starting with lightweight tools and evolving over time.

This role is designed for an architect who wants to build and shape Temenos’ enterprise business architecture capability from the ground up, directly anchored at CIO Office level.
