Summary – basic function of the role

The Commercial & Support Manager is responsible for driving sustainable commercial growth in the aftermarket by executing the spare parts strategy, optimizing pricing and digital tools, and converting the installed base into profitable maintenance and service opportunities

The role connects Sales, Service, Engineering and Operations to improve commercial performance, data quality and customer value throughout the aftermarket lifecycle.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution and commercialization of the global spare parts strategy.
  • Identify and develop aftermarket growth opportunities using installed base and customer lifecycle data.
  • Convert installed base potential into maintenance, service and spare parts revenue.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Own and optimize the aftermarket price list to balance competitiveness and profitability.
  • Ensure pricing governance and monitor pricing performance.
  • Lead the digitalization and continuous improvement of aftermarket processes.
  • Maintain and further develop the CPQ tool and commercial content.
  • Ensure accuracy and governance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for quoting and pricing.
  • Use data analytics to improve conversion, decision-making and commercial performance.
  • Ensure marketing and sales materials are accurate and aligned with the commercial strategy.
  • Support customer-focused value propositions and messaging.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operational Aftersales Supervisor.
  • Act as the commercial interface between Sales, Service, Engineering and Operations.
  • Provide commercial insights, reporting and KPI tracking.
  • Translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong commercial mindset with focus on revenue growth and profitability.
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Experience with CPQ systems, pricing structures and digital tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Dutch and English language

    Other languages are a plus.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
  • Structured, detail-oriented and process improvement focused.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar (preferred). (For example TBK / BK5 / Industrial Engineering Management).
  • Technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical background is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an international commercial or aftermarket role.
  • Proven cross-functional stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience with data-driven decision making, reporting and pricing.
