Job Description

Job Summary:

To assemble and perform mechanical adjustments and repairs on precision composite aircraft seats.

Job Responsibilities:
• Performs a variety of diversified bench assembly operations and mechanical adjustments and 
repairs on precision aircraft seats requiring close tolerance fitting.
o Installs seat control mechanisms, arm and head rests, seat belts, life vests, drawers, etc.
o Installs precisions swivel, recline and slide apparatus. Makes adjustments as necessary 
for proper operation.
• Disassembles, reassembles, and assures proper operation after complete paint and upholstery 
operations.
• Troubleshoots and performs mechanical adjustments and repairs on aircraft seats once they 
have been installed in the aircraft.
• Requires using power tools such as sanders, rivet guns, air drills, air screwdrivers and hand tools 
such as wrenches, files, hammers, mallets, and awls.
• Responsible for the quality of own work.
• Performs other related duties as required

Education:
Requires the ability to interpret blueprints, apply shop math, and use some measuring devices. Must have 
a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.


Experience:
Over one year and up to three years bench assembly and/or mechanical experience.

Good working conditions. May involve occasional exposure to heat and noise
