Description
Some of the key tasks may include:
- Drive the design and execution of ceded reinsurance programmes, ensuring that they align to the Convex portfolio optimisation and risk management strategy.
- Develop relationships with Brokers and Reinsurers, constantly seeking to deepen your understanding of the market and its trends and developments.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, Analytics, Legal, Operations to provide optimal recommendations on strategic direction.
- Collaborate with the Ceded Re Operations team to ensure smooth and accurate data capture.
- Manage and support the design and implementation of various Ceded Re related tools and projects.
- Use innovative thinking to develop new solutions.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Several years of relevant experience, ideally in a Ceded Re purchasing function, allowing you to immediately contribute to the team and take ownership of individual placements and internal projects.
- Experience within, or a proven interest in, Casualty and Financial Lines products is an advantage, combined with an ability to shift focus to a different line of business when needed.
- A deep insight into the market including understanding of contract wordings and market trends.
- Robust quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
- Excellent networking and influencing skills with an ability to build meaningful relationships internally and externally.
- Effective communication skills both verbally and written at all levels of seniority
- A keen team player, open to sharing knowledge and looking for ways to improve
- Good negotiation skills.
- Hard working with attention to detail.
