Job Description

The Financial Advisor I is responsible for delivering holistic, relationship-based financial planning and advisory services to clients and prospects. This role focuses on building long-term advisory relationships through discovery-based conversations that identify client goals, values, and life-stage needs. The Financial Advisor I applies a comprehensive planning approach across investments, retirement, risk management, and other wealth strategies to recommend appropriate solutions in the client’s best interest. Advisors work toward individual and program-level goals, viewing sales outcomes as a natural result of effective advice, trust, and ongoing client engagement. This role operates with appropriate guidance and oversight and is registered with Raymond James Financial, conducting business on behalf of the Investments & Financial Services program.

What you will do here:

Client & Prospect Advisory, Planning, and Service:

Conducts discovery-driven conversations to understand clients’ financial goals, priorities, and concerns.

Develops and recommends holistic financial strategies aligned with clients’ short- and long-term objectives.

Builds and maintains ongoing advisory relationships through proactive outreach, plan reviews, and life-event discussions.

Educates clients on financial concepts, products, and strategies to support informed decision-making.

Meets individual goals by delivering planning-led solutions that align with client needs and best interests.

Encouraged to participate in and facilitate on-going business development activities, education, and internal employee training initiatives.

Referral Management & Phone Support:

Manages referred to prospects and outreach lists with a relationship-first mindset.

Conducts outbound calls and follow-up communications to introduce advisory services and establish rapport.

Qualifies prospect needs through discovery conversations and transitions appropriate relationships into active advisory clients.

Partners with internal teams and referral sources to ensure seamless client experience.

Operations and Compliance

Completes required operational activities including account setup, maintenance, and transaction processing.

Maintains accurate CRM documentation and client records in accordance with firm policies.

Ensures all activities comply with applicable federal and state regulations, as well as broker/dealer requirements

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

High School Diploma or GED required.

1+ years of Financial Industry Experience required.

1+ years of limited sales experience required, phone sales and service required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, planning skills, analytical skills, and problem solving skills required.

Foundational financial planning and consultative sales skills required.

Ability to develop and maintain long-term client and internal partner relationships required.

Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail required.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

Valid Arizona driver license. Motor vehicle record will be screened and the incumbent must meet Company guidelines required.

Active and in good standing required.

Or both Series 63 & 65 - active and in good standing required.

AZ Life/Health Insurance Life and Disability Insurance Licence required.
