Are you passionate about using data to drive strategic decision-making and improve public infrastructure? Oakland County is seeking an innovative professional to lead the development of a comprehensive facilities asset management program that will shape the future of our buildings and infrastructure. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement best practices in asset lifecycle management, and play a key role in guiding long-term capital investment decisions that directly impact County operations and the communities we serve.

What You'll Do
• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the County's comprehensive facilities asset management program.
• Design and formalize processes for asset inventory management, condition assessments, lifecycle planning, capital forecasting, and data governance.
• Develop and maintain accurate, standardized asset data for County-owned buildings and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Facilities Planning & Engineering, Facilities Maintenance & Operations, Capital Planning & Design, GIS, and Fiscal Services to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Analyze facility and infrastructure data to support long-term capital planning and deferred maintenance strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and recommendations to support data-driven infrastructure investment decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve asset performance, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
• Utilize countywide and department-specific software applications to manage asset information, analyze data, and complete assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


1. Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Administration, or related area.
2. Have had at least three (3) years of full-time work experience in facilities asset management, infrastructure lifecycle planning, capital planning support, asset data governance, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Administration, or related analytical work involving physical infrastructure.
3. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur's license.
4. Have or obtain OSHA 30-hour training provided by the County within six (6) months of hire.
