PrePress - Platemaker

Starting Pay: $21 -$27.40 depending on the experience  Hours: 7:00am - 7:00pm  Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday  Location: 18249 Phoenix Dr., Hagerstown, MD 21742   As our Die Maker, you will: Responsible for positioning digital files per scheduling’s request and maintaining all equipment as needed while following all safety and quality control standards. Imposition file for press per scheduling request Check quality control of plates Perform general maintenance on all platemaking devices Inventory and order supplies as needed Create plates as needed for pressroom Thoroughly understand and operate platemaking machinery Adheres to and promotes all safety, security and environmental policies and procedures All other duties as assigned   Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 10-hour shift Ability to carry and lift up to 30 pounds Ability to bend and reach for extended periods of time   Qualifications:  High levels of attention to detail Ability to work as a team and individually  Position requires mechanical aptitude Ability to read a ruler metric and standard and perform basic math Knowledge of manufacturing operations or print operations preferred Ability to read and understand layouts, set up instructions and production instructions High school diploma or equivalent preferred  2 Years of previous printing experience preferred
